Welcome
to LoungeNet, the result of four years at UC Santa Cruz. This
page was largely designed and compiled by Adam
Schwartzberg and Brian
Forsse, with help from Kyle
Lanclos and a congenial nod to Ryan
Day, because if we don't, he knows where we sleep and he
could hurt us. Also we'd like to thank all the other people
on this site who contributed ideas and correction.
Ah yes, those wonderful college days ehe? Yes I'm sure that's
what you're saying to yourself now, at least that's what we
figured we'd be saying in a few years. This is why we started
LoungeNet: The Web Page... The idea of the Lounge Started our
freshman year when we would spend the majority of our time in
the Maxwell Triple, the room of Alex
Ash, Luke Phillips
and Dick Handley.
This room quickly became the home of a homemade network of friend's
computers, a feat which we were quite proud of. Freshman year
was the initial year of the network we dubbed LoungeNet, thusly
it was Mark I.
Sophomore year, the lounge moved to the Crown/Merrill apartments.
Apartment 223 with Adam, Luke, Alex and Christian. This immediately
became known as the Lounge: Mark II. Brian, Ryan, Boris
and Nick lived below the lounge and were soon, nearly lounge
residents.
The next year, the Lounge moved to apartment 723 and now Seo
Hui, Christian, Alex, Kyle and Adam were the hosts of the Lounge:
Mark III.
This year the Lounge moved off campus to a lovely little house
rented by Adam, Kyle, Brian and Ryan. This is now Mark IV.
The people mentioned above are merely the residents of the four
years of LoungeNet. Dozens of people have been involved over
the years and much has changed over the years. To see a more
in depth explanation of what LoungeNet is and how it has changed
over the years, go look at evolution.
To see the people and places of the lounge over the years, as
well as the stories surrounding it, look at any of the mark
links to the left. Also, if you would like to see Adam's photography,
take a look at photo. Thanks
for visiting and enjoy our college experiences, we did.
PS: Adam wouldn't mind if you snuck a peek at his photo
page. -B
